# Validation

CGE-Core uses multiple benchmark families rather than relying on a single example model.

| Benchmark | What it checks |
| --- | --- |
| Hosoe / GAMS | Equation correspondence and numerical regression |
| IFPRI Standard CGE | Independent implementation, calibration and policy scenarios |
| CAMCGE | Replication of a published CGE equilibrium and experiments |

These benchmarks test different things. Agreement with one model does not by itself establish agreement with another specification.
